While most of them are humans, there are also Mandalorians of various other species. Mandalore serves as the Mandalorians' home planet. It was originally inhabited by the Taung species, who renamed themselves Mandalorian and created the culture practiced by later non-Taung Mandalorians.

Does Mace Windu regret killing Jango?
In Attack of the Clones Mace Windu actually regretted killing Jango Fett in the arena on Geonosis. The reason for this will be explained in the video along with how Yoda knew why he couldn't kill Count Dooku.
Jango was popularly believed to have been a common bounty hunter who uses Mandalorian gear, and his apparent disinterest in correcting this misconception (largely shared by Boba) may have been even more insulting to any proud Mandalorian, let alone Bo-Katan.
